Phone appointments and office visits are billed at the same hourly rate in 15-minute increments, which round up.

Provider work time is also charged at this hourly rate and includes tasks such as lab review, charting, and letter writing.
We process payment in full at the time of service.

Holistic Healing Arts providers are not contracted with any insurance companies and are considered “out-of-network” naturopathic doctors.
We will provide you with a superbill that includes insurance and diagnostic coding. You are welcome to try and seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier. It is up to you to familiarize yourself with your insurance plan, its coverage, and its limitations.
We’re unable to make any adjustments to superbills outside of the appointment in which a bill is written.

Many of our patients travel from out-of-state or country to receive treatment.
Please note we are required to see a patient in the office prior to starting any treatments and a minimum of once in any 12 month period to continue care.
For out-of-area patients, intake is a 2-step process:
STEP ONE: 60-minute Phone Appointment prior to being scheduled in-office. This allows your provider to:
Get to know you, review your labs, and potentially order new labs before we see you in-office.
Determine how they would like you to schedule your office visits.
Because we don’t practice “protocol” medicine, the amount of time and number of therapies your provider will recommend during your in-person visit varies greatly from patient to patient.
STEP TWO: Multi-Day In-Office Visit, which may consist of:
A 2-hour Opening Appointment
A 30-minute "Quick Check" mid-week
A 90-minute Closing Appointment
IV and/or detox therapies
But again, this varies according to individual needs.
Visit our Traveling Patients page for more information.
Preparing For Your Appointments
We understand the commitment you’re making when you decide to receive care at Holistic Healing Arts. Here are a few steps to make sure you’re prepared before and after each appointment.
Bring Supplements & Meds
Remember to bring ALL of your supplements and prescription medication to every appointment. Include collagen, protein powders, or foods in question. Please note there may not be time to test everything.
Take Notes
We recommend taking notes during your appointment. Making a list ahead of time of questions, concerns, and requests can help ensure all of your questions get answered.
Review Your Order
Review your new protocol and supplement list after your appointment. Indicate any supplements you wish to purchase, along with the quantity, on your protocol. Then relax in the waiting room while your order is processed.
Schedule Your Follow Up
Please schedule your follow up appointment before leaving the office for best availability. Or you may call or send a ChARM message to “Scheduling.” Please indicate whether the appointment is in-office or a phone consult, and schedule other services (IV, detox, LDI/LDA) you need at this time.
After Your Appointment
Your provider will indicate any labs to be completed on your protocol, along with any other recommendations. Lab forms can be found in your patient portal under “Documents." Lab or protocol questions can be addressed by sending a ChARM message to “Medical Questions.”
Dispensary Orders
To re-order supplements, place an order with our dispensary. Include the name, brand, dosage, and quantity. Free shipping is available on all supplement orders over $100 shipped with the U.S. (before tax).
We pride ourselves on our unique model, one that allows us to think differently about your health.
We believe that because of your unique nature, no one condition can be treated the same way. We don’t follow generalized protocols. Instead, we create protocols based on your history, your body’s receptivity, and many other individual factors.
We use a variety of tools to help you achieve wellness, including conventional and alternative therapies.
Remote Appointments Available For Established Patients
Follow-up appointments for local patients are typically scheduled for 60 minutes in-office. Between office visits all established patients, regardless of location, can opt to schedule a phone consult.

We will provide you with a superbill that includes insurance and diagnostic coding. You are welcome to try and seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier. It is up to you to familiarize yourself with your insurance plan, its coverage, and its limitations.
If your insurance company requires a "modifier" to be added to your superbills for coverage, you will have to let your provider know during every appointment, so they can add it to your bill. We’re unable to make any adjustments to superbills outside of the appointment in which a bill is written.
